What the
issue is: A majority of the sites that
and many other
companies develop - incorporate the use of script prompting to legitimately
obtain information,
navigate pages, and to protect private page content. The default settings of
Internet Explorer 7 block script prompting. You might even have the "Information
Bar"
option
to "temporarily allow" the script prompts, but in certain instances - even
this
keeps the script prompting from functioning properly. Therefore you are restricted
from completing legitimate tasks on trusted websites.
The solution: Below in this tutorial, are the instructions on how to change the needed settings to allow script prompting in Internet Explorer 7.

The settings mentioned can be easily changed back to the default if necessary.
We are providing this tutorial in order to address a known issue with Internet
Explorer 7 only, and are not addressing or fixing any other software problems.
Think before you enter any information on any website, "Do I really need
to give out this information?", and "Is this a trusted site that I opened
directly - myself?". Our goal is to maintain being a reputable source for
correct information.
The images below may vary from the way your system looks.
Before continuing: try bypassing or turning off any installed pop-up blocking software. If this does not correct the issue, you may proceed. Remember to reactivate your pop-up blocking software if/when necessary after completing the immediate needed tasks on the respective website(s).
Step 1: verify you are running Internet Explorer 7. One way this can be acheived is by left-single-clicking "Start" then "Run" and typing "msinfo32" and left-single-clicking "ok". In the "System Information" window that opens, expand "Internet Settings" and then expand "Internet Explorer" and then select "Summary". If the item version value begins with a "7", then you are running Internet Explorer 7.

Step 2:

in Internet Explorer 7 and left-single-click the "tools" menu item or drop-down
item.

Step 4: left-single-click

Step 5: left-single-click

Step 6: left-single-click

Step 7: left-single-click
the "custom level" button.

Step 8: scroll
down the "security settings - internet zone" settings area to near the bottom.
Step 9: find the
setting labeled: "Allow websites to prompt for information using scripted
windows" entry. The default setting for this entry is "disable".
Step 10: make
note of the specified entry's current setting then change the setting for
the specified entry to "enable".
Step 11: left-single-click "ok" on the "security
settings - internet zone" window.

Step 12: left-single-click "apply" then left-single-click "ok" on
the "internet options" window.

Step 13: You may have to close and reopen Internet Explorer 7 for the changes to take effect.
Followup: If closing and reopening the browser still does not allow script prompts to show, first verify you have followed all instructions correctly. If after verifying the changes are correct - you still are not able to acheive the use of the script prompts - change the settings back to their original state, and consult your computer technical advisor.
